Join this small group stroll through some of the most beautiful squares in Savannah as you enjoy different food tasting experiences - enough food for lunch, and some giggles along the way.

You will be introduced to various intriguing, multifarious foods along with culinary, historical, and cultural insights. Tastings include oysters, fried oysters, hush puppies, shrimp & grits, Scottish meat pies, fried green tomatoes, artisanal salts, iced teas, cupcakes and artisanal honeys.

Sample delicious foods from seven unique foodie spots surrounding the initial squares built in Savannah, while learning about the food, restaurants, history and culture that help shape the Hostess City’s palate.

This is a flat fee regardless of the number of tickets or tours purchased on an order.
There is a service charge per ticket. This charge will be reflected on your summary before you checkout. The total shown includes any and all taxes, fuel surcharges, and service fees. There are no additional charges, unless otherwise specified.

Cancellation Policy: There are no refunds. All sales are final.

Change Fee Policy: If changes are allowed on a tour or activity, a $20.00 per reservation change fee will be applied for any change to a reservation. Please note that some tours and activities do not allow any changes. Date changes can be made only if we can confirm availability on the new date. While we cannot guarantee any changes can be made, all change requests must be submitted a minimum of 24 hours prior to the tour departure and must be handled on an individual basis through our Reservations Center.

This is a fun, one-of-a-kind culinary experience while strolling through the gardens and historic, cultural landmarks of the squares of Savannah, the Hostess City of the South. This tour will open your palate through bites and tastings at distinctive restaurants, extraordinary specialty food stores and other notable eateries, while providing a local’s perspective on some culture, history and architecture of Savannah. By tour’s end you’ll have a taste of Savannah’s complex culinary identity, a satisfied appetite, and a confident grin as you now have an idea of why locals love their lowcountry gem of a city.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: How much food will be included in the tastings?
Most guests of Savannah Taste Experience find that the tastings are enough for lunch. While portion sizes are smaller than that which you might purchase at any of these locations on your own, but there are several different tastings, which leaves guests comfortable and satiated by tour's end. Please understand the food tours are not intended to replace multiple meals, so please consider eating breakfast before the tour.

Q: How much walking is involved?
Participants can expect to be standing or walking for a majority of the time. The tour operates at a moderate pace, covering approximately 1.5 miles. There will be at least two resting locations on the route for a combined 45 minute walking/standing break.

Q: Does this tour have anything to offer a Savannah native?
Yes. Many Savannah natives take this tour to learn a little more about their beloved city, to enjoy a great midday stroll with some new friends, or to treat visitors from out-of-town to the city's great eateries.

Q: Does the tour guide accept tips?
Yes. Gratuities are greatly appreciated at the tour's conclusion, and are strictly voluntary. The standard gratuity in the service industry is 15 to 20 percent of the tour's total cost.

Q: What if I have a food allergy?
You will be able to note any dietary restrictions during the reservation process. Accommodations can almost always be made for guests with vegetarian diets, diabetes and/or food allergies.

Q: Can I shop during the tour?
No. As with most other tours, you'll have to wait until the end to check out the “gift shop.” The tour needs to stay on a tight schedule, in order to arrive at each tasting location, when the food will be served at its optimum freshness. To maximize your enjoyment, please wait until the end of the tour to return to your favorite restaurants. Your guide will provide you with a map of all of the tasting locations, as well as exclusive coupons for some of the restaurants, and information about other great places to dine in Savannah.

Q: Is the tour wheelchair and stroller accessible?
Yes. Your guide can advise and assist guests using wheelchairs or strollers, to optimize the safety and enjoyment of all guests.

Q: Are any beverages served on the tour?
Yes. There will be a non-alcoholic beverage sampling. You can, however, purchase water and/or beverages at the beginning of all tours at the specified meeting locations, or bring your own water bottle. Additionally, most of the tasting locations provide water and/or beverages during the tour.

Q: Is this tour offered in languages other than English?
No, not at this time.

Q: What happens if it rains?
Rain or shine, you'll dine. Ponchos will be provided in case of sudden weather changes, or if you do not have an umbrella. Please monitor the local forecast prior to your tour's departure date, so you may dress accordingly & comfortably for the conditions.

Q: Are bathrooms available during the tour?
Yes.

Q: Are cameras allowed on the tour?
Yes - guests are allowed to take photos and videos during the tour.
